North Texas Giving Day

Give your members an opportunity to have their tithe or pledge matched by being a part of 2011 North Texas Community Giving Day!

When?
Thursday, September 15, 2011 from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Who Can Participate?
All churches and nonprofit organizations with an EIN (Employment Identification Number) can be a part of 2011 Giving Day.

How Does My Church sign up?

1. Go to www.donorbridgetx.org to get more information about DonorBridge and North Texas Community Giving Day.

2. Call Katy Spicer at the Center for Nonprofit Management before August 18, 2011 with your EIN number. Her number is 214-826-3470. She will enter your church or organization in the database.

3. Once your Church or organization is in the system, complete the online profile.

4. Notify your members and donors in your newsletter or by email that your church is participating in North Texas Giving Day and all gifts given on Thursday, September 15, 2011 through www.donorbridgetx.org will be matched. The only requirement is that a donor must give a minimum of $25 for the funds to be matched.

How will our members’ dollars be matched?

Matching money is not a straight “dollar for dollar” match. Matching funds will be determined by dividing the total matching funds by the total amount of online donations made that day. (As of August 1 there are $600,000 in matching funds available.)

Why should we participate?

1. It gives you a reason to help your members and donors “catch up” on their pledge?

2. Through the generosity of some of the largest foundations in Texas your members’ donations will be matched.

3. It works. Some of the Churches in the Diocese received matches last year. You can too.
